Waited; or Tryst Gone Amiss

Waiting

In Autumn’s bliss

You said we would meet

Yearning to plant a kiss
Softly across your lips
Leaves falling in a whisper
Like your warm caress

Wind
Rustling like a hiss
What did I miss?
Is this a tiff?

Cold day
Even longer night ahead
Going back inside
I silently wish

Morning
Will serve up a new dish
Dish of your warm, savory smile
Sprinkled with warmth and love

Thank you for reading🙏🏽♥️

Waited; or Tryst Gone Amiss was written for the prompt, WDYS.

Absence; or The Fonder Heart

Heart shaped in lit candles

If she does not come home, would you miss her
Would you care, or dare, feel happiness
Relief, she is gone, your heart sings
Before long, a song of long
Awaited freedom, yes
She is gone, you are
Free to be you
No second
Guessing
No
More
Sharing
Compromise
Being nice, kind
Greetings with a kiss
Compassion and caring
Random embrace just because
Despair, she is gone, your heart aches
You do care, or dare, feel loneliness
Would you miss her, if she never came home

The Allure of Love

Rose-symbol of love
Is it hard to wonder
why people shy away
weather like lightning and thunder
resembling romance and all its blunder

Being swept off your feet
Knowing love is there
Dreams to never give into defeat
To commit is something concrete

When you know it is so fun
Romance is beautiful and serene
Shining bright like the sun
Don't let overcast think it has won
