Can You Answer This? What Free Service Would You Choose?

What Free Service Would You Choose?

Life is so busy these days. Can you answer this? What free service would you choose? Would you prefer to have free childcare, a live in chef, a housekeeper. Maybe an assistant or gardener. A lot of these services can get pricey. It would be nice to have though. We can keep more of our money in our pocket.

  • Childcare- This is a necessity for many working families. We have to work to make a living and provide for our children. It would be nice to have reliable childcare.
  • Chef- A chef would be very convenient. A personal chef would free up time not having to prepare meals. For example, we can use this time to spend with family. Also, we can devote time to other hobbies or interests.
  • Housekeeper- A housekeeper can take care of those mundane things around the house. Cleaning the house takes time but is a chore that must be done. Wouldn’t it be nice to have this service for free? One downside is that they may not be as thorough and do the job, in the manner we would like.
  • Assistant- An assistant can be a valuable asset to help with business tasks. Including taking care of booking travel and keeping our calendar. Business and/or personal plans can be handled. He or she can help to keep us on track. It would be nice to have one less thing to think about.
  • Gardener- The lawn would be so nice with the help of a gardener. The grass can stay healthy and plush. Flowerbeds and mulch would be on point. In the fall/winter they can rake up all the fallen leaves and remove the pine needles. The bushes would stay trimmed and neat. Furthermore, having a gardener can save us from back-breaking work.

Can you answer this? What free service would you choose? Share in the comments and let us know. Maybe you would pick something entirely different.

Can You Answer This? What is Your Dream Job?

What is Your Dream Job?

Working and having a job feels mostly like what? Work. It doesn’t have to. If the thing you do helps to put food on the table, and a roof over your head does that mean it has to be boring or mundane? Of course not.

Passion for a hobby or possessing natural talent for what brings in revenue can make all the difference. Also, your dream job will provide enjoyment, so it negates the feeling of doing something out of sheer necessity.

Some of us dream to be on the world stage. Singing or performing in the arts. Others want to travel and see the world. Fashionistas want to dress in the finest clothes and model for print or commercial ads. Also, there are humanitarians who have a knack for helping people.

If money were no object, what would you pursue in life? What job would bring you fulfillment and happiness?

Can You Answer This? Are You Living in the Past, Present or Future?

Are you living in the past, present or future? It might sound like a question with an obvious answer, right? Well, you see, sometimes we relish our younger years and do not want to let go. It leads us to hold on to those days and try to relive the good times. It can also be memories of certain places, people or things from back in the day that keep us stuck.

Living in the present is a pragmatic way to live. It is a way to prevent the past from dictating what you are doing today. Also, you relieve yourself of worry about what is to come later in life. The approach of one day at a time can be described for people who live in the moment of today.

The future poses a layer of uncertainty. If you live in the future, maybe you feel that there is nothing to worry about. On the other hand, this way of thinking can help you reach your goals. It sets you up for the frame of mind to be clear about what you want for your future self. Living for the future also gives you the ability to prepare and set goals.

Can You Answer This? Would You Reset Your Life if Given the Chance?

⏳If you were given the chance to reset your life and start again, would you? ⌛

Life is a melting pot of good times, great memories, mistakes, regrets and much more. Sometimes we might dwell on a past error and wish we could do it all over. Maybe, we would have made another choice to improve the outcome.

I would have to answer, no. I believe who we are is determined by our mistakes and triumphs. Some of those fails give us a chance to get it right later. The triumphs in life are a testament that we can accomplish our goals.

The happy moments bring peace and joy into our hearts. Allowing us to extend kindness to others. I am grateful for all the great times and the not-so-great ones. Experience in life is a wonderful teacher.

🤔 Can you answer this?

If you were given the chance to reset your life and start again, would you?

What Is the Biggest Misconception About Human Connection?

What Is the Biggest Misconception About Human Connection?

Human Connection

We make all kinds of connections in the world. We connect with each other in person, by email and online. Do you ever stop to think about these connections and how they are formed? Some of us connect by a common interest; say music for example. We might have a quick conversation with someone at the record shop. Yes, there are still some around. But outside of that, the conversation is null and void.

Does it mean that since the two of you love the same kind of music that you are friends?

The misconception is the thinking that because you are in agreement with something or someone, that you have a deep connection. I’ll give another example. If you see someone who wears the same type of clothing as you, you assume that the two of you are the same. I caution that this is a misconception. Just because someone looks like you, does not mean that the two of you think alike or have the same interests and can form a bond on just the outer looks alone.

Another misconception is that if a person does not really talk to you often but you cross paths with them, that they do not care for you or are not fond of you. Sometimes, it can be that that person is shy or afraid to spark up a conversation. Do not assume that because you see someone frequently and the two of you exchange few words that there is animosity.

We can also confuse a person doing a nice gesture for us as their way of inviting us into their lives. It can just be that; a nice random gesture.

What I am trying to get at is that sometimes we connect with others solely based on one mutual interest. Does that mean that we can relate and connect with them in most other areas of life? Values such as their beliefs about family, marriage, children. Their opinions about politics. This is always a slippery slope. Maybe they have different beliefs on religion that are opposite from what we believe in.

Can you answer this? What is the biggest misconception about human connection?

Can You Answer This? Do You Respect Your Partners Conflict Style?

Do You Respect Your Partners Conflict Style?

Conflict resolution is a part of life and happens to people in different ways. We all process and deal with conflict differently. Some people encounter a problem and fly off the handle. Others, take a beat and use that time to process, dissect and digest what has just occurred.

Who has the better way of handling disputes? Honestly, there is no right or wrong answer. As people, we all process differently and since our personalities are not the same, our ways of handling disagreements differ.

Take this example:

Couples dispute

A couple is disagreeing about which set of parents to visit for the holidays. Up until now, they have never really planned it out, they just went with it. However, this year 1 of the two are not in agreement. What do they do?

After going back and forth about it they cannot seem to come to a mutual agreement. They start to use some choice words and still have not come to a resolution.

Tasha is the type to hash out the disagreement right then and there. No waiting to think it over and revisit the subject later. We are going to talk about this now! Tonight! We are not going to bed without figuring this out is Tasha’s point of view.

Corey is the type to take in the information, think about it and process everything. Talk about the dispute the next day. So, you can imagine that Tasha wants to have nothing to do with waiting. This in itself creates more tension because she wants to talk about it now.

Do you think Tasha should just respect the fact that Corey is not ready to discuss it now. If being continually pushed, Corey might say some things that he cannot come back from. So, is it best that Tasha gives him the time and space to figure this out? Or should Corey talk to Tasha now?

In the meantime, Tasha has been waiting and now decides that she no longer cares to discuss it. Corey is livid at this point because he feels like he has had the chance to think it over and now ready to discuss but Tasha is no longer interested?!?!

What do you think? Do you respect your partners conflict style? How do you come to common ground and find a happy ending?

Thank you for reading! 💕🙏

Where Are You From?

Moving from one state to another is something that we see often. There are many cities and places in the world where it is a melting pot of people from different areas who have set up shop and made a home away from home. A person who moves to another place is referred to as a transplant.

How much time should pass before you consider yourself from the new area? I hear differing opinions on this. Some people say if you are living in a new state for 5 or more years, you are from that place. Some say 7 years or more. I have even heard less time than that. 🤔

What do you say? For me personally, I will always say my original place of origin is where I am from. What about you? Do you adopt the new location and cite that place as the answer to the question,, "where are you from?". Tell me your side of the story. Please share how you feel about the subject.

As always, stay well and be blessed💞😊

Would you do nothing
Secretly pray for them
Offer help in a way you think is helpful

Of course, a friend is someone we love and never want to see in pain. If you are unsure of the best way to help them, what would you do?

Can You Answer This? What Excites You About Life?

What Excites You About Life?

Life is full of exciting things. What is it for you that makes you excited? Do you wake up every day and get excited to see another day. Yes, this is a valid reason to be excited. Are you excited to be working in the career of your choice? Not everyone is fortunate to have their dream career. Maybe it is your children. It is such a blessing and joy to be able to hug, smile, teach, and watch them grow into adults.

Retirees may excite in the fact that they are no longer on the clock. They can leisurely go about their day. Romance is another reason to be excited. The thought of having your person knowing that someone loves and accepts you.

Can you answer this? What excites you about life? Life brings so many reasons and opportunities to get excited. What does it for you? Maybe you have hobbies in life that excite you and motivate your life.

This question I ask because a lot of times we go about our lives and master the routine. We don’t often, stop to think about what excites us. We need to revisit some of these things and take a detour to bring the spark, smile, sense of humor and love back in. We can still live in our daily routines while enjoying those exciting things too.

Can You Answer This? What is Your Favorite Holiday Tradition?

Under the mistletoe

Traditions come and traditions go. What is your favorite and why? People follow traditions for different reasons. Some have grown up with them and just continued to follow them into adulthood. Do you ever stop to think about why and/or how these traditions came about?

What is your favorite tradition? Even if it is not connected to a holiday. Everyone does not celebrate holidays. However, some of the ones who do not still have certain traditions/rituals that they live by and follow.

In my opinion, I think that traditions keep us connected. The reason behind certain customs is a cause for reflection on history. Rituals long passed down and continued through generation after generation.

Can You Answer This? Is it ok to Complain?

Can You Answer This? Is it ok to Complain?

Is it ok to complain about how things are in the world and your rights, even when you do not bother to get off of social media for an hour to make your voice heard, at a minimum of once every 4 years? 🤔

Hmmm, what do you think? I pose this question as it relates to voting. Some people complain about their rights and how they do not have this or that. Also, about how things are in the world. Ok, so I wonder if these same people are making their voices heard. Are they getting out there, at the basic minimum of every 4 years for the presidential election. I am not including any other election like the primaries or local elections. Just the presidential race.

What do you think?

Can You Answer This? What is the Best Decade of Your Life?

Can You Answer This? What is the Best Decade of Your Life?

Joyous Life

Life is a funny thing. It is so unpredictable. It comes with joys, bumps and bruises. We go through ups and downs, but we still manage to continue to live on to see another day. Can you answer this? What is the best decade of your life?

Was it when you were in your 20s, 30s, 40s or beyond? Most people are still figuring things out in their 20s and having fun. Some of us were starting a family in our 20s and some getting married. Education was a front-runner for others, while family took a back seat.

Maybe your 30s was your best decade. Did you meet the love of your life in your 30s. That career you always wanted was front and center and you could not be happier. Reuniting with a long lost relative or friend has changed your life immensely; in a good way of course.

The 40s brought you a mended relationship with someone very special to you. You are now in the home you always dreamed of. Maybe, a goal that you set for yourself has come to fruition and you can be proud of the hard work you put in to obtain that goal.

Wherever life takes you is where you are meant to be. We can try to plot and scheme certain things but ultimately it is up to the creator who is always in control.

As always, thank you for reading! 🙏❤

Can You Answer This? Is Lack of Eye Contact Narcissistic?

Can You Answer This? Is Lack of Eye Contact Narcissistic?

Why don’t you look at me? I’m talking to you.

Eye contact is an essential part of communication. It is a non-verbal way to connect with each other. As vital as it is for effective communication, it is sometimes overlooked. No pun intended. How much importance do you place on the use or lack of eye contact in conversations? Do you prefer people to connect via eye contact or the averted look?

Some people feel uncomfortable making eye contact or when someone looks at them too intently. Shyness is one reason why people may avoid eye contact. I’m sure if you ask around you will get varying reasons of why people prefer not to make eye contact. You may think it is rude or downright disrespectful. Anxiety or nervousness are also causes for this type of avoidance.

Lack of eye contact is a tactic of narcissistic individuals. Not to say that everyone who avoids making eye contact is a narcissist, as there are many reasons for this. It is used to up play the narcissists feelings of importance. By avoiding eye contact while speaking with others shows that they are not interested in making a true connection with the person to whom they are speaking. It makes them feel superior with a thought such as, “I do not need to look at you, I am above you”.

Weigh in on this and share what you feel on this topic.

As always, thank you for reading.
